DIVORCE MEDIATION IN MEDFORD & ASHLAND
THERESA A. JENSEN, CDFA™, JD
During family and divorce mediation, I act as a neutral facilitator helping people cooperatively reach agreements about the terms of their divorce, separation or other issues. I can help you make difficult decisions about custody and parenting time, and I can also help you with the essential task of sorting out complex financial matters (dividing assets and debts, child support and spousal support). Through the process of mediation, you can also learn how to communicate better together, which is important if you will be continuing to have contact as co-parents.
The goal of divorce mediation is to find the common ground where every person involved has his or her needs and wishes fully expressed and considered in the process. Though I am not an advocate for either husband or wife, or separate partners if unmarried, I support both in advocating for their own needs and interests, while at the same time keeping a clear focus on what is best for the children (if children are involved). The outcome is an agreement which restructures relationships in a manner that mutually benefits all members of the family. In addition to my focus on mediation in Medford and Ashland, I can help families throughout Oregon.
